It is very helpful to those who get lost in thoughts, about the future or past. These thoughts can often cause more worry, stress and anxiety on top of everyday life pressures.

With practice, mindfulness can serve as the perfect stress release, it can improve our performance and quality of life, and can provide a great feeling of relaxation. Evidence has shown that it can also be an extremely effective aid in the treatment of many mental and physical health issues, as well as generally improving our relationships and our mental and physical well-being.

Whilst there are many ways to learn mindfulness, I would recommend completing this 8-week course as the starting point. It gives an immediate opportunity to make a commitment to showing up each week but also enables you build a regular practice over a series of weeks. It takes this kind of repetition over time to form new patterns of thinking and habits.

You will also find that learning to mediate under the guidance of an experienced mindfulness teacher will provide you with a good source of insight and support. It also addresses any negative thought patterns that can increase stress that in turn can lead to depression and anxiety.

This fundamental course explores the essential mindfulness meditation exercises and helps to pursue new skilful ways of dealing with what goes on in our bodies, minds and lives. In addition to the meditation exercises there is information and discussions on healing stress, relaxation, stress management, and how to apply and incorporate the skills learnt into our daily lives.
